Traffic Backups At Valley Mall Blvd. And Main Street

Find a way around the work or be prepared for a delay. The installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Main Street and Valley Mall Boulevard is now underway. The work is expected to be finished at 5 tonight. Officials with the Department of Transportation say the work has the potential to cause the longest traffic delays so far on 34 million dollar project. The signal has been turned off during the work and flaggers are directing one-way alternating traffic through the intersection and into one lane in each direction on Valley Mall Boulevard and on Main Street.
