Toys For Tots Drive Starts Saturday In Yakima

The official kickoff for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive is Saturday at the Toys R Us store in Union Gap. Gunnery Sgt. Andy Lucero from Yakima's Bravo Company 4th Tank Battalion says Saturday events will include an appearance by an M1A1 tank at the store.

They'll be taking your donations of new toys or cash. The cash is used to help purchase toys when there's a shortage in a certain age group. The event Saturday starts at 9 a.m.
On Sunday the annual Toys for Tots Salvation Army Motorcycle Ride begins at 1 p.m. at the Albertsons parking lot at 16th and Lincoln avenues.
