YAKIMA, Wash. - A 14-year-old Toppenish boy has pleaded guilty to groping a woman in a Catholic church and a scantily clad barista.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports the boy was 13 at the time of the attacks. He entered his plea on Friday and now faces up two and a half years in juvenile prison, pending an evaluation.
The boy has an already lengthy criminal history dating back to 2011. The boy pleaded guilty to animal cruelty after flinging a chihuahua mix and breaking its leg. Before that, the boy had been caught breaking into an elderly woman's home.
Authorities say the boy was awaiting his juvenile trail on the groping charges at the church when he took his mother's minivan and drove up to the Moulin Brew Coffee in Yakima, where he crawled through the window and began groping the lone barista on duty.
