Time To Pick Apples But Cool Weather Has Growers Concerned

It's time to pick apples in the Yakima as the harvest gets underway. Because of a cool spring the harvest is a little late and that has growers concerned. They're hoping they can get the apples off the trees before a cold snap. Growers say the king of all apple varieties is still the Red Delicious taking about 25 percent of the acreage in the valley. But other varieties are gaining in popularity....varieties like Honeycrisp, Gala and Fuji.
