Time To Celebrate After School Programs

“LIGHTS ON AFTERSCHOOL” CELEBRATION . . . “Lights on Afterschool” is a national day to recognize and advocate for afterschool programs. Yakima School District and Northwest Community Action Center are partnering in an event to raise awareness of afterschool programs here in Yakima County. A celebration will be held on Tonight from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Yakima Convention Center. The event will include youth performances that highlight local afterschool programs and School’s Out Washington’s Afterschool Hall of Fame awards. These awards recognize those individuals and organizations that have demonstrated leadership in advancing the afterschool field in Washington state.
