Thousands of ballots remain to be counted in Yakima county and across the state of Washington from the general election. Auditor Corky Mattingly says about 20 thousand ballots are waiting to be counted today. Mattingly believes most of the votes will continue the trends seen on election night.

Ballot counting will continue every day through next week until the election is certified in early December.

When all the ballots are counted in Yakima, Mattingly expects about a 76 percent turnout for the general election.
