Thirtymile Fire 10 Year Anniversary

Sunday was the 10th anniversary of the thirtymile fire...a blaze in the North Cascades on July 10th of 2001 that took the lives of firefighters 30 year old Tom Craven, 18 year old Karen Fitzpatrick, 21 year old Devin Weaver and 19 year old Jessica Johnson. Since the fire a number of safety measures have been put in place in fighting wild land fires to hopefully prevent another tragedy.
