Thieves once again tried to steal the Battle Cross field memorial at Srg. Hubbard Park. Jack Rogers with Combat Veterans United says the bronze memorial honoring Marines and Soldiers killed in the war on terror has been the target of thieves since 2006 when it was first installed at the 2nd Street Park. Fortunately Rogers says the thieves wern't able to remove it from the base. It's now being repaired and larger bolts installed to again try and keep it from being stolen.
