They Tell Authors To “Write What You Know” — Ooops!

A 68-year-old romance writer by the name of Nancy Crampton-Brophy once wrote a blog about “How To Murder Your Husband”.  Fast forward a bit and she has actually been charged with murdering her husband.Crampton-Brophy was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon in the process!  She was arrested on September 5th, months after her husband Daniel Brophy was fatally shot at his job, the Oregon Culinary Institute.

Mrs.Crampton-Brophy is the author of the novels like The Wrong Cop, and The Wrong Husband. Sounds like she made the wrong move in her private life!

She often wrote about women in marriages who thought about, or faked their own, death. She once said, “As a romantic suspense writer, I spend a lot of time thinking about murder and, consequently, about police procedure. After all, if the murder is supposed to set me free, I certainly don’t want to spend any time in jail. And let me say clearly for the record, I don’t like jumpsuits and orange isn’t my color.”

Sorry Mrs. B-C, as Netflix says, "Orange is the New Black" and it sounds like you better get used to it!
