The Yakima Fire Department Has You Covered When It Comes to Life Vests!

Water safety is majorly important, and no one should be going in the water unsupervised -- or if you don't know how to swim. One way or another, you'll need a life jacket!

With that in mind, the Yakima Fire Department is offering something very cool this summer: free access to life vests at two locations.

• Station 93 at 511 N. 40th Ave., with children's sizes all the way up to the grownup ones.
• Station No. 92 at 7707 Tieton Drive.

Thank you to the Yakima Fire Fighters Association for making this program happen! You are encouraged to come down if you are in need of a life vest, but please make sure to bring it back once you have finished your activity so others can take advantage as well!
