I make a lot of posts about weight loss and healthcare because that is a general concern for many people in the typical KIT age demographic.  I include myself in that so anytime I find something interesting about those topics I like to share.  This one IS interesting.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, one thing that can help in the battle with the bulge is s-e-x.

York University researchers did the hard work on this and had a group of participants ages 27 to 50 fill out questionnaires about their eating habits, and tested to see how their brains respond to reward or punishment.

They discovered participants who produced less of the "cuddle hormone," oxytocin were more likely to overeat.  Researchers say our bodies release Oxytocin after sex to induce feelings of trust and affection. Study leader Dr. Caroline Davis says, "Oxytocin enhances prosocial and related behaviors. Increases in oxytocin tend to decrease appetite-- especially the consumption of sweet carbohydrates."  (Daily Mail)
