Teen Struck By Vehicle While Lighting Fireworks

A 17 year old from Grandview was killed while lighting fireworks on Waneta Road 2 miles south of Sunnyside just before midnight last night. State Patrol troopers say Adan Gonzalez was setting off fireworks in the southbound lane of Waneta Road with his back to traffic. He was struck by a mini van driven by a 45 year old man from Grandview who was not injured. No charges are expected. The crash is under investigation.
