Teachers Given Crystal Apple Awards

Three top educators in the Yakima School District were given John D. Mcalister Crystal Apple awards today. The awards along with 1 thousand dollar checks are given each year to educators nominated by fellow teachers, students, parents and community members. The three given Crystal Apple Awards today include Aannete Cook, a physical education teacher at Eisenhower High School. Scott Garanson, a band and choir teacher at Washington Middle School and Janni Holsclaw, a band teacher who works at several elementary schools in the district.
