Tax Payer Advocate Tim Eyman Talks About His Latest Initiative on the Mike Bastinelli Show [AUDIO]
Yakima native and legislative spending watchdog Tim Eyman is back with another initiative, to make all Washington state tax hikes expire after a year.
The one-year limit would go away if state lawmakers pass a constitutional amendment to require a legislative supermajority to raise taxes and eliminate tax breaks.
If passed by the Legislature, the amendment would need a simple majority of voters.
Eyman was a guest on Wednesday's Mike Bastinelli Show. He talked about his latest measure, and why he also wants to have the state constitution specify that a two-thirds-majority is needed to add any state taxes.
