‘Tater Thoughts’. Golden Retriever Musings. Pool Party & Chill
Welcome to Episode Four of: 'Tater Thoughts': Musings of a Golden Retriever.
From the fertile mind of Tater Tot Stephenson, the golden retriever member of the Stephenson family. (By the way, for the record, my mind is all that is fertile, following the neutering incident of 2020).
Well, as you know, my dance card is pretty full and keeping up with my schedule is not for the faint of heart. That's why my Mom is the one Heaven-picked for me. I mean, I can't seem to tire her out - but I try!
One of my fruitful engagements this past week was attendance at a 'Pool Party' with some of my best friends at LITTLE PAWS PET RESORT!
Can you pick me out in the crowd? We had a blast! It has been sooooo hot but they have several pools set up for us to plunge ourselves into with reckless abandon!
Yeah, any day at LITTLE PAWS hangin' with my pals is a day to smile about.
Allow me to introduce one of my good friends........Hey! Where you going?!
Normally an extrovert - great at a party, but you pull a camera out and he clams up!
I spent last Sunday celebrating Father's Day and helping Dad figure out setting up his new Smoker we bought for him. This is a close-up of me listening to him grumble.
He muttered something about the instructions not making any sense. Then he finally realized they were written in Mandarin and knew he didn't have time to download Babble and learn a new language, so he opted to just look at the pictures.
This is me pretending to be nonplussed about the giant beef brisket he is holding.
This is me slowly placing my nose in the air as if to say 'oh, massive meat chunk huh?'
This is me turning to Dad, and with my eyes saying: "You're giving me some, right?!"
Of course, Dad came through big-time and provided my very own bowl of beef (without any spice or anything else that might cause me to suffer a dyspeptic episode).
After a very busy week, it was time to chill and reflect.
Hey, I'd seriously give LITTLE PAWS PET RESORT a bark if your furry family member needs friends to hang out with - daycare and boarding too. (and when I say furry I don't mean your weird Uncle Charlie who refuses to cut is beard and back hair).
Until my next Episode - which will be providing my analysis of my first '4th of July' experience -- please remember to keep your pets inside when possible and give us plenty of water and shade if we're outside. Plus, we love walks, but if the sidewalk is too hot for YOU to walk on barefoot -- it's TOO HOT for US!
