Yakima City officials want your input about the future of the city through a new survey.

LOOKING TWO DECADES AHEAD

They're looking ahead to the next two decades asking residents to share their vision for the city’s future. As part of the update to the 2026 Comprehensive Plan, the Yakima Planning Division has launched a community survey to gather input on important areas such as housing, infrastructure, community services, and economic development.

The survey is available now RIGHT HERE. It takes about five minutes to complete and will be open through November 30th. Residents are encouraged to share their opinions on important topics including housing availability, infrastructure improvements, community facilities and services, and industries the city should attract or retain to foster economic growth.

NO COMPUTER? YOU CAN STILL TAKE THE SURVEY

Along with the online survey, printed copies will be distributed at public events and venues, with a Spanish translation available to ensure broad community participation.
“We appreciate the public’s participation in this survey,” says Planning Manager Trevor Martin. “The community’s input will contribute to the development and implementation of Comprehensive Plan goals and policies that will shape Yakima’s future.”
