Police say they also sited but did not arrest a 15-year-old girl on a 4th degree assault charge.

Authorities say Gallagher wasn't known to them and lived a relatively quiet life before he was found bleeding on the floor of his home on the evening of April 15.

Because the assault happened outside Yakima city limits the case was turned over to the Yakima County Sheriff's office.

He was stabbed in the abdomen on Saturday afternoon during a fight in a second floor bathroom at Macy's department store in Union Gap.

The stabbing was reported at about 4:35 p.m. Saturday. An investigation is underway. No names have been released.

The victim was taken to a Yakima hospital to be treated for serious stab wounds.

Yakima Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says 55-year-old Mikel Ochoa and the suspect had a dispute over some private property at about 5:00 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Queen Avenue and Macleren Street.
