The crash was reported at about 2:30 pm when 23-year-old Travis Taft of Yakima was driving westbound on Highway 12 trying to pass another vehicle

Yakima Police say they continue emphasis patrols to try and keep more people from being injured or killed in a crash.

Washington State Patrol Troopers say a semi-truck driver crashed into a passenger vehicle at about 6:45 am Wednesday.

An officer spotted the two vehicles on East Yakima Avenue but they refused to stop for the officer.

The fire is now at 31% containment.

The fire is now at 14% containment. On Friday containment was at 10%.

The crash was reported at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

The actual cause of the crash remains under investigation Today.

Crews from more than half a dozen agencies are still fighting a brush fire that threatened several homes along Highway 12.

My father-in-law has an old concrete culvert standing upright -- with dirt in it -- sitting at the corner. It's been hit multiple times.
