Suspect In Yakima Shooting Appears In Court

An 18-year-old man arrested in connection with a gang related shooting on Wednesday is being held in the Yakima county jaill. Bail for Eduardo Acevedo was set at $200,000 on Thursday. He faces a charge of first degree assault. Yakima police are still searching for 3 other suspects responsible for Wednesday's shooting of 21-year-old Aaron Prieto who remains in critical condition at a Seattle hospital Today. The other suspects escaped after a high speed chase that ended in the lower valley Wednesday afternoon.
Police say Prieto was shot while standing in the front yard of his home on North 2nd Street.
