From the crash scene to the hospital to jail. That's the journey a 20-year-old suspect driver has made in Yakima after Yakima Police say he ran a red light and killed three people and injured a child last Tuesday in a crash at the intersection of 48th Avenue and Nob Hill Blvd.

THE SUSPECT WAS TRANSFERRED TO JAIL ON SATURDAY

Kolby Funkhouser was transferred from Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital on Saturday to the Yakima County jail. Prosecutors have charged him with three counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular assault. Authorities believe Funkhouser was under the influence when he failed to stop at a red light a the intersection of 48th and West Nob Hill at about 10:20PM last Tuesday.

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD CHILD REMAINS AT HARBORVIEW IN SEATTLE

Capt. Jay Seely says Funkhouser was driving 1994 Ford Escort at a high rate of speed northbound on 48th Avenue when he collided with a 2007 Mitsubishi Galant driven by 23-year-old Kisha Whitefoot of Wapato who was eastbound on Nob Hill Blvd.
23-year-old Mason Euteneier a passenger in Funkhouser's vehicle died at the scene of the crash. Kisha Whitefoot was treated and released. Her 5-year-old daughter remains at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in stable condition.
Two passengers in Whitefoot's vehicle were killed. 19-year-old Steve Bueno and 20-year-old Kiona Whitefoot. Both were ejected and died of injuries.

PROSECUTORS SAY FUNKHOUSER FACES SERIOUS FELONY CHARGES

Funkhouser was injured and has since recovered and is now facing multiple serious felony charges in Yakima County Superior Court.
