Do you play the piano? You'll soon start seeing a lot of pianos in public spaces in Yakima. Yakima's Sunrise Rotary Club has started the 'Painted Piano Project'. The idea is to place more than a dozen pianos painted by local artists around the Yakima area. The project kicked off on Friday at the Valley Mall in Union Gap. The project is funded by a $15,000 Rotary Club grant. You'll find the painted pianos at the Valley Mall,
Single Hill Brewing Co., Glenwood Square shopping center, and Collaboration Coffee. In partnership with the Yakima Arts Commission the plan is to have more than a dozen pianos in public spaces throughout the valley.
