Bruce Smith says the strong mayor issue is still alive and could be back in front of voters again in November. The Yakima Valley Business Times publisher is a member of the group Citizens For Safe Streets and Lower Taxes who says no final decision has been made but there's a 75 percent chance it will be back on the ballot. The group could start a petition drive or ask the City Council to place the issue on the ballot. The strong mayor question was defeated Tuesday 52 to 48 percent.
