Researchers at WSU Cooperative Extension in Yakima are hoping to stop future crop damage from stink bugs and they're asking for your help. Entomologist Mike Bush says "what we're concerned about is down the line we may see them become pests in various agricultural commodities." They need your help in collecting the stink bugs maybe in your home. He says as the nights get cooler, the stink bugs look for a warm place to hide, and a lot of times that place is the inside your home.
If you see any of these stink bugs, you can either freeze them and mail, or drop them off to your local WSU Extension office located at 2403 S. 18th. St. Suite 100 in Union Gap.
