Stand down Veterans Fair Set for October in Yakima

It's called the Stand Down and Benefits Fair and it's set for October in Yakima. The 20th annual event is set for Saturday October 19 at the Modern Living Building at State Fair Park. Dave Brown Coordinator of the Yakima County Veterans Program who says many veterans can gain valuable services and information at the benefits fair which is all free to vets and their family members. A free lunch is served and lots of free services like VA medical/shots, dental, counseling, help with VA claims and haircuts are available. In fact Brown says more than 80 different services will be offered to veterans and family members. He says 13,000 veterans call Yakima home so he's hoping for a lot of people at the event.
The Stand Down Veterans Benefits Fair is set for Saturday October 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m in the Modern Living Building at State Fair Park.
