Drivers running red lights and a lack of officers...two reasons why the city of Moses Lake installed red light cameras at 2 major intersections. Moses Lake Police Chief Dean Mitchell says he's seen a 30 percent reduction in accidents in the intersections since the cameras were installed in 2007. Mitchell says the cameras are also in use in school zones. They snap pictures of people who don't observe the school zone speed limit. Yakima City officials are looking closely installing the cameras at major Yakima intersections.
