A short agenda for the Yakima City Council on Tuesday. Yakima City Hall remains closed so the council members will hold the meeting over the phone. The council will get an update on the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Staff members are looking for help from the council on the future city manager contract negotiations that are ongoing with Robert Harrison. Staff is hoping the city will appoint one to two council members to help.  The Council earlier this month voted 5-1 to begin negotiations with Harrison who was most recently the chief administrative officer for the city of Renton until may of this year. He also spent eight years as the Issaquah city administrator.
The city will also talk about a possible city presence at the Downtown Yakima Farmers Market in the future.
The council meets at 5:30 Tuesday at city hall but the meeting is conducted by phone since city hall remains closed.
