Shooting Injures 2 People Walking Home From Store

YPD News Release-Officers from the Yakima Police Department responded to the 200 block of East “F” St for two gunshot victims. Two victims were located. A 54 year old female and a 15 year old juvenile were returning to home from grocery shopping, when four subjects approached them on foot. The victims stated one of the males began shooting at them while they were walking home.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where they were treated for their injuries. Yakima Police detectives are currently working on leads from witness accounts. The victims did not appear to have any gang affiliation, and the motive for the shooting is still under investigation. The injuries are not life threatening.
