Shakira’s Past Was Not Without Platinum Problems — Dave’s Diary

The controversy over Miley Cyrus and her ridiculous performance on MTV a few days back got me to thinking about some of today's female music stars.

Cyrus was a child megastar as Disney's Hannah Montana and now she's trying now to break free of that teeny bopper image and forge a career for an older audience.. 

So, while checking out the background of some other Superstars of today I discovered some didn't do so well when they were younger--Case in point-- Latin bombshell Shakira did not make the cut for her school choir. 

Can you guess why?

Her music teacher said she "sounded like a goat" when she sang.

Every guy I know thinks she's come a long waa-aa-aaa-aay since then!
