Selah School Still On Chopping Block

Susan Dreyfus told parents and others at the Yakima Valley School in Selah yesterday it's likely the school will close by the end of the year. Dreyfus is the Secretary of the State Department of Social and Health Services and spent time at the school yesterday listening to concerned parents who are fighting to keep the school in Selah from being closed to save the State the 17 million annual cost to operate the facility. A bill introduced by 3 State Senators aims to close the facility in Selah and another facility in the Bremerton area.
