The only republican so far who want's to be the state's next Governor made a stop in Yakima on Wednesday. Bill Bryant is a former Yakima resident who's now a Port of Seattle Commissioner who's hoping Eastern Washington will turn out and vote in 2016. "If you want a new Governor in Olympia you need to help me pull together people and turn out in August and November of next year. Because the only way we're going to offset votes on the coast is to make sure we're voting in Eastern Washington at the same percentage as the folks in King County."
Bryant, who owns a company that helps farmers get products to market says he wants to continue to build up the education system and he wants a cleaner puget sound. He wants a balanced state budget that's fiscally responsible and wants to create more jobs in every community in the state. So far Bryant is the only republican in the race. He hasn't yet announced but Governor Jay Inslee is expected to run for re-election in 2016.
