Saturday is an important day for Democrats in the State of Washington. The State Democratic caucuses start at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. The Yakima County Democratic Central Committee caucuses will be held at 18 different locations. The Central Committee Chair is Susan Palmer "We expect high turnout so we've been busily preparing for these caucuses."
Palmer says there's major support for both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Sanders will be in Yakima on Tonight. Palmer says his appearance is a treat for Yakima. "We are just delighted to be on one of his stops and are looking forward to his rally." Palmer says his appearance could make a difference for some people who are trying to decide who to support Sanders or Hillary Clinton. The doors to the Yakima Valley Sundome open at 4:00 p.m. for the  rally. The U.S. senator kicks off a two-day visit today with stops in Spokane and Yakima. He'll swing through Seattle tomorrow. It's the first time since George W. Bush visited in 1999 that a presidential candidate has stopped in Yakima. There are 118 Democratic delegates at stake in Washington.
