Road Work on 56th Avenue Causing Lane Closures

Yakima City crews are working on wastewater and stormwater project.
on a section of 56th Avenue that will result in a lane restriction.
City officials say the project will close the northbound lane of 56th Avenue between Summitview Avenue and Tieton Avenue from Tuesday, April 21, through Thursday, April 23.
The closure happens from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. all three days.
A news release says "drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until project completion.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible."
