It was a celebration last night as Yakima County Democrats held a post election party at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Yakima.  While all of the local democrats lost legislative and congressional races, they were celebrating the re-election of President Barack Obama and the apparent Gubernatorial victory for Jay Inslee.  Mary Stevenson, chair of the Yakima County Democrats said that the majority of Americans believe that Obama has the nation on the right track.  A different story at the Republican part at 26A at the Red Lion Hotel in Yakima.  Despite winning all the local races, Republicans were in a state of shock and disbelief at the outcome of the election, especially at the national level.  GOP party chairman Max Golladay said "I'm disappointed in the American people, and I believe that America is in for some tough times, I beleive that America will pull through, as we always do."
