Get your sensible shoes and your donation pledges and get ready for the American Cancer Society's 24 hour Relay For Life .

Organizers say that survivors and caregivers are the heart and soul of Relay For Life events.  Their strength and courage is honored with every step and it doesn't matter if your diagnosis was 10 days or 10 years ago.

This year's event will be held at Franklin Middle School Park the weekend of July 20-21.
Opening ceremonies will begin Saturday at noon with the survivor celebration and dinner following at 6:30 p.m.  There will be live entertainment, games and food throughout the weekend.

Call 800-227-2345 or go online at RelayForLife.org/YakimaWA , registration is free.
