The Yakima County Commissioners have heard you –again.  The first time you voted NO on producing pot in the unincorporated portions of the county the commissioners instituted a ban.  The ban came with no teeth and more than a dozen operations sprang up in violation of the ban.

Then you voted again and the commissioners heard you loud and clear –again, and they are now seeking more money for code enforcement to close down the outlaw operations.

This has triggered the promise of an expensive court fight by pro pot people.

As the Yakima Herald Republic reports , “Residents will have a chance to weigh in on the preliminary budget and Leita’s request during  a Wednesday public hearing at 7 p.m. at Yakima City Hall.”

We expect to hear from attendees on the Morning News Show tomorrow—tune in 1280 am KIT and join the conversation.

A marijuana industry consultant, Jeffrey McPhee says he is prepared to challenge the ballot language of the advisory vote saying it was confusing.  That’s what they said about the language and Yakima County’s vote on the original Initiative 502.  Yakima was “confused” which is why it didn’t pass here.  Now they say you were confused --again.  They don’t seem to have much respect for your ability to sort things out for yourselves do they?  Were you confused or did you know exactly what you were doing?  And are you prepared to fund a fight to uphold your values when it comes to marijuana?

We hope you’ll join us tomorrow on The Morning News!
