For the fourth straight year David McKinney will be camped out in a cardboard box to help those in need with Operation T.I.N. C.U.P.   TIN CUP is an acronym for "those in need, can you pitch in."  McKinney will be camped out in front of Wrays at 56th and Summitview Avenue, seeking donations of food, clothes, blankets, shoes, boots and toys for the Salvation Army and Union Gospel Mission. Dale Carpenter, who passed away Friday night started Operation Tin Cup 8 years ago and McKinney is continuing the effort to pay tribute to Dale. McKinney will be camped out from Thursday morning at 9:00 until Monday afternoon at 2:00.

This is McKinney's fourth year doing Operation Tin Cup. He took over after Carpenter was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was unable to continue the effort.

McKinney says his years event is in honor of Carpenter who passed away Friday night after his four year battle with brain cancer.

You can donate non perishable foods, money, clothes, shoes, boots and toys at drop boxes in front of Wrays at 56th and Sumittview.  For more information you can call David 509-833-0063.
