One Person Dies in Two Car Crash Near Tieton

A fatal crash near Tieton on Thursday took the life of one person and injured others. The Yakima County Sheriff's office is investigating the two vehicle crash reported at about 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of North Tieton Road and Rosenkranz Road. A news release from the sheriff's office says a driver in a Dodge Ram truck struck a 12-passenger Ford van at the intersection. Authorities say the Dodge truck failed to stop at a stop sign in the intersection. The crash caused the van to roll killing one person and injuring several others. No other information is available including the condition of both drivers. The investigation continues Today. This is the 11th fatality collision that the Yakima County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit has investigated this year on county roads.
