One Person Arrested In Wednesday Shooting

One person has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Yakima on Wednesday afternoon. Yakima Police say a 21-year-old man was shot while standing in the front yard of his home in the 800 block of North 2nd Street. Officers responded to the area to a report of shots fired at about 12:50 p.m. Wednesday. They found the victim in his front yard suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Witnesses gave police a description of the suspect vehicle. A short time later a Yakima County Sheriff's deputy stopped the suspect vehicle near Lateral One and Kays Road where the occupants of the vehicle fled but one person was taken into custody. Yakima Police continue to investigate Today.
