Drivers traveling on Interstate 90 will be happy to know that crews will have two lanes open in both directions east of Snoqualmie Pass in time for one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and contractor crews will open two lane in each direction from Easton (milepost 70) to the Cle Elum area (milepost 80) on Friday, May 27 at approximately 9 a.m. Drivers may experience minor delays due to a concrete barrier dividing the two westbound lanes west of the weigh station.

Although it may be smooth sailing through the I-90 Lake Easton to Big Creek Panel Replacement project (Big Creek project), drivers still need to plan for added travel time due to significantly higher traffic volumes during Memorial Day weekend.
