New Micky D’s Coming to Downtown Yakima

A new McDonald's will fill the space that's been vacant since the Grand Buffet restaurant closed in downtown Yakima.

The owner says construction for the new restaurant at 1st Street and Yakima Avenue will start next spring.

McDonald's signed a 20 year lease on the building.

A manager working to improve downtown is happy to see the new business.

The building's owner says local business people will likely run the McDonald's.
