Sir Mix-A-Lot Approved Legend Dick’s Drive-In Inks Deal For 11th Washington Spot

Dick's Drive-In has been a Washington State foodie treasure since 1954 when the first spot opened in Ballard. A new location has been announced by the company and it will be located near the Quil Ceda Creek Casino.

While it's exciting to hear about a new Dick's location, my only problem is that Tulalip is still nowhere near CENTRAL WASHINGTON, and we have been begging the universe for one for ages. I feel like the internet meme of that cute little boy who isn't smiling in his pre-school class picture, that has the caption:

"Congrats. Nice. So Happy For You." 😂

Washington Is Serious About Eating Burgers

Other highly rated mom-and-pop burger chain joints we Washingtonians recommend to each other are Burgerville (based out of Oregon), Major's in Yakima, Miner's in Union Gap, Zip's in Spokane, and Bob's Burgers & Brew with locations throughout the state.

We have nine Dick's Drive-In locations in the state, ten, if you include the mobile food truck. A ground-breaking ceremony was held on Monday, June 8th, to announce the new spot coming to the Tulalip Reservation.

Dick's Drive-In Is a Part of Hip Hop History, too

Dick's is Sir Mix-A-Lot approved, as he used one of their Seattle locations for his legendary 1984 rap hit, Posse on Broadway.

I feel like it's a rite of passage after you move to Washington to try a a bag of their burgers with some fries. I remember my first time eating there; one bite and I saw what the hype was about.

One Dick's fan says new Dick's locations is great news, except for maybe for their WAISTLINE ha! Several burger lovers in the Lake Stevens News Spot on Facebook are very excited for a new location, too, although several have commented about traffic concerns. No word yet on when the location will be officially open, so stay tuned.

A popular place to go is the one with indoor seating, located in Queen Anne (500 Queen Anne Dr).
