
More Than Half Of Washington Workers Prefer Working From Home
There is a company called "Fishbowl" that describes itself as "a workplace social network that connects professionals through transparent conversations discussing industry-specific news and sharing career advice with peers and senior leadership in an open, positive, and supportive environment." .that looks at workplace trends and in a new survey, in the face of the Coronavirus, they looked at the preference for working from home.
In recent surveys, Fishbowl discovered that 55% of professional employees are now working more hours than before the pandemic, 54% of workers fear layoffs at their company and -cheers - 42% of workers drink while working from home -cheers!
Drinking aside, Fishbowl asked 17-thousand working pros this, “If your company approved, would you choose to work from home (WFH) permanently?”
55% Choosing WFH - 54.64% of respondents answered that they would choose working from home as the new normal.
By Gender- 59.37% of female respondents answered that they would choose to work from home permanently, while just over 50.52% of the males surveyed said that they would prefer this option.
By Industry - Tech employees had the highest percentage of employees preferring to permanently work from home, with 68.41%, followed by Advertising and Marketing employees with 61.74%. These were the only two industries with more than 60% preferring to permanently work from home.
In Washington, a total of 468 employees answered the survey, with 52.56% saying they want to permanently work from home.
