Miriam Fire Burns Unchanged From Monday

Firefighters continue the battle against the Miriam Fire burning near Clear Lake. The fire is unchanged from Monday at 2,250 acres with 10 percent containment.

Fire officials say they hope to have the fire fully contained by September 1. Evacuation levels around the Rimrock Lake area have been adjusted. All Level 2 "Be Set" Evacuations around Rimrock Lake have been dropped to Level 1 "Be Ready" orders.
The Indian Creek cabin and Indian Creek campgrounds have been reduced from Level 3 "Go" to Level 1 "Be Ready" orders. The Indian Creek disbursed camping areas remain at Level 3.
White Pass Ski Area remains under Level 1 "Be Ready" Evacuation orders.
