
Mattawa Man Arrested for Threatening Sister With Zip-gun
MATTAWA, Wash. (AP) — A 33-year-old Mattawa man is in jail after violating a protection order, pointing a "zip gun" at his sister and threatening to shoot her.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a call on Monday afternoon about a man who violated a protection order. The report said Malcom Engle Sr. was at his sister's home and pointed a "zip gun" at her. The gun was an improvised, homemade firearm.
Engle then fled the home.
Deputies and a K-9 named Grizzly tracked Engle into the sagebrush and he was arrested.
He was booked on for investigation of violating a domestic violence protection order, felony harassment, second-degree assault, obstructing an officer and felon in possession of a firearm.
