Mass Vaccination Sites Open in Washington State
If you are looking for the COVID-19 vaccine this week other areas of the state are opening mass vaccination sites. The Washington State Department of Health is getting help from the Washington National Guard opening four mass vaccination sites this week in Kennewick, Ridgefield, Spokane and Wenatchee. The sites are open by appointment only to people who pre-registered and are eligible for the vaccine under Phase 1A or 1B-1. The goal is to provide vaccine to 500 people a day at each site. A press release from the Washington State Department of Health says "to ensure success, a limited number of initial appointments will be accepted to start, and some sites will have reached capacity for week one quickly. Washingtonians should not be discouraged. Sites will eventually have the capacity for larger numbers of people as more vaccine becomes available."
If you are looking for a vaccine you need to make sure you are eligible by using Phase Finder at findyourphasewa.org. After confirming you are eligible you'll need an appointment. Each mass site is using a different registration system.
