Man Killed Saturday In Sunnyside Identified

A 23 year old man killed Saturday by Sunnyside officers during a traffic stop has been identified as Jose Carlos Campuzano of Grandview. Meannwhile The Washington State Patrol is now handling the investigation into Saturday's fatal shooting in which Sunnyside police officers took the action after they say Campuzano fired shots at the officers as he was being taken out of a vehicle in a Sunnyside traffic stop. Police spokeswoman Charlotte Hinderliter says a number of officers involved in the shooting remain on administrative leave until the investigation is complete. No officers were hurt in the incident reported at 6th and Edison on Saturday night.
