Mail-In Voting Safe in Washington Says Auditor Ross
Lots of talk about possible voter fraud in the upcoming presidential election in the news in the past couple of days. Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross says there are a number of different systems in use around the country. Here in Yakima it's a mail-in ballot system with checks in place to make sure not more than one vote in cast for each person..he says when you vote your ballot and it's counted . That door is shut.
Ross admits that a person could create two different identities for themselves and vote two different ballots but he says so far there's been no evidence of that. He says the system in Washington State is a marriage between the voting system and honest voters.
Ross will be on The Morning News Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. to talk further about mail-in voting.
