Lead singer, Tom Landa, was born and raised in Mexico City and moved to Canada as a kid. You can discern his musical influences from his studies of traditional Mexican Music in Veracruz, Mexico.

Locarno plays a variety of instruments to give their spin on Afro-Cuban music.
