It is called P.A.C.E. or perfect attendance creates excellence. It is a program by Bud Clary Toyota of Yakima and it is paying off big time for local kids. Spokesperson Robbie Bustos says the program rewards K-5 students with perfect attendance records. And this year they are giving away 248 bicycles and helmets to kids who have never missed a day. Bustos says that means “no tardies, no absences, no excused absences not even a doctors appointment.” The program rewards kids in the Yakima, East and West Valley School Districts.

The bikes and helmets will be coupled with a BBQ and awards ceremony at the end of the school year.
