Job Interview Time For City Manager Candidates

3 people who want the job of Yakima City Manager are in Yakima today and tomorrow for a series of interviews with city council members, city officials and members of a citizen panel. The interviews start at 1 this afternoon at Yakima City Hall. The three candidates 63 year old Jim Payne, 46 year old Tim Hacker and 61 year old Don Cooper will appear at the Yakima Convention Center at 6 tonight where you can meet the three men. The interviews will continue tomorrow. Then the council will begin deliberating on the next city manager and possibly name that person to the position on July 19th.
